Leigh LaForest

Co-Owner - JL Photo Inc. Davison, Michigan

Leigh has taken her many years of sales, marketing, and customer service experience to help build JL Photo Inc.’s extensive reach within the state of Michigan. They are leaders in the high volume youth sports photography business. Because of her willingness to excel and to provide a positive photo day experience for all her clients, she has been extremely successful in maintaining and growing client relationships that have increased her client base substantially.

 

Since 2012, Leigh has been a peer educator for HH speaking at various conferences and HH University Sports Boot Camp on how to run a successful high volume youth sports photography business. From finding the business to setting up an efficient photo day and stress free delivery, she happily shares her knowledge and real life experiences.

 

Leigh is an active Advisory Board Member for the Mott Community College Photography Program, a member of the Davison Chamber of Commerce, and is an elected member of city council in her hometown. Additionally, she is a mentor to the Davison High School Robotics team and volunteers her time with various other local organizations when her schedule allows.

Scott LaForest

Co-Owner- JL Photo Inc. Davison, Michigan

Scott is an award winning photojournalist with over 30 years of professional photographic experience. His experience includes over 20 years of military photography work as well as working as Chief Photographer for the local newspaper for over 10 years. In addition, his professional photography background also includes portrait, wedding, and senior photography. His vast experience and knowledge of his craft, has allowed JL Photo Inc. to become the leading high volume youth sports company in Michigan.

 

Scott is responsible for training and evaluating a staff of 25 photographers and assistants, developing new products, lighting & posing for both indoor and outdoor shoots, and the post production work flow. As of 2014, Scott has been a peer educator for H & H Color Lab alongside his wife, Leigh.

 

Scott is also an active Advisory Board Member for the Mott Community College Photography Program, a member of Professional Photographers of America, and volunteers his time with various local film and photography projects when his schedule allows.
