Greg Gulbransen started out shooting fashion but transitioned over to documenting the lives of unique individuals with interesting stories. Today Greg primarily uses his talents as a Pediatrician to document stories that have important public health significance to youth in America. Greg’s first photo book, Say Less, is about gun violence and was the winner of the Lucie Photo Book Prize.
His images have been published in the New York Times, Daily Mail, ELLE, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar, Northwell Health, The Weather Channel, Spirit and Flesh, Grazia and Pandora to name a few. Some of Greg’s documentary work has been featured on the A & E Network’s History Channel.
Greg will speak about what motivated him to pursue this passion, some of his experiences along the way and the many lessons he has learned shooting wildlife, fashion and then finally settling in with social documentary photography. His personality filled talk will be educational and motivational for an amazing kick off to Carolina Photo Expo 2026.
